3-8-37 DISOBEDIENCE OF ORDERS. After warning after talking in line, after the lieut. blows his whistle, this inmate had to be spoken to to-day at noon. He was out of line, talking to inmate #213 Urbaytis. Report #1486,C.Hoag, Jr. Officer. Action: Reprimanded and Warned. E.J. Miller, Deputy Warden.
7-29-37 AGITATING, YELLING AND CREATING DISTURBANCE IN CELL HOUSE. Immediately on going to his cell from mess hall this noon, this man started yelling and creating disturbance. Report #2535, V.W. Cochenour. Action: To be placed in solitary confinement on restricted diet and to forfeit all privileges until further orders. E.J. Miller, Deputy Warden.
8-1-37 Removed to regular cell and work assignment with the continued loss of all privileges until further orders. E.J. Miller, Deputy Warden.
8-13-37 ALL PRIVILEGES RESTORED, EFFECTIVE THIS DATE. E.J. Miller, Deputy Warden.
9-20-37 PARTICIPATING IN STRIKE AND REFUSING TO LEAVE CELL TO GO TO WORK. This inmate when asked why he did not leave his cell to go to work, replied "I just can't take it and I am not going to work." He was warned of the seriousness of such an act and statement but he still refused to go to work. This man is one of the leaders of the strike and a dangerous agitator. Report by E.J. 10-8-37 Removed from solitary confinement "A" Block to "D" Block isolation with one meal per day, bread and water other meals, anfd the continued loss of all privileges until further orders. E.J. Miller, Deputy Warden.
11-16-37 Diet changed to two full meals per day, bread and water other meal.
1-29-38 CREATING DISTURBANCE IN CELL HOUSE. Loud talking and making obnoxious sounds with his mouth, tapping his cup against the bars, as a signal to other inmates. He was warned against this many times previously, three times this evening. His attitude is defiant and insolent. Report #1346, F.S. Roberts, Jr. Officer. Action: To be continued in isolation. 3-31-38 CAUSING CONFUSION IN THECELL HOUSE, LOUD TALKING. This inmate was talking in a loud voice to inmates #100-Wilmoth & #257-Hensley. I warned him to quit talking at 6:30 P.M., and again at 7 P.M. Report #1432, W. Neeley, Jr. Officer. Action: Reprimanded and Warned, continued in isolation. E.J. Miller, Associate Warden.
