  1. When you looked at yourself in the mirror today, what was the first thing you thought? Darn. I look run down from that cold.
  2. How much cash do you have on you? One dollar.
  3. What’s a word that rhymes with “DOOR?” Four.
  4. Favorite planet? Saturn. The rings are pretty.
  5. Who is the 4th person on your missed call list on your cell phone? Restricted. Usually that means it’s my mother-in-law.
  6. What is your favorite ring tone on your phone? When the Saints Come Marching In. Someone sing that song at my funeral.
  7. Do you “label” yourself? Yes, but the label varies with the situation.
  8. What shirt are you wearing? White long sleeve, with snaps and two pockets.
  9. Name the brand of the shoes you’re currently wearing? None. I’m in socks.
  10. Bright or dark room? Bright, since Joel turned on the lights to read the brand name on his shoes.
  11. What do you think about the person who took this survey before you. I love him dearly and want to spend the rest of my life with him.
  12. What does your watch look like? Like Joel, I use a cell phone instead of a watch.
  13. What were you doing at midnight last night? Sleeping. Given that I have a cold, I’ve been sleeping as much as possible.
  14. What did your last text message you received on your cell say? It told me that my cell phone bill had been automatically paid by my credit card.
  15. Where is your nearest 7-11? I have no idea, but it’s got to be the same as the nearest 7-11 to Joel, so I’ll just reference his answer.
  16. What’s a word that you say a lot? Email.
  17. Who told you he/she loved you last? My husband.
  18. Last furry thing you touched? Boadicea, who has been curling up next to me when I try to sleep off my cold.
  19. How many drugs have you done in the last three days? More than usual, but they’re all OTC cold medicines. Unless you count chocolate.
  20. How many rolls of film do you need developed? None.
  21. Favorite age you have been so far? I have no idea.
  22. Your worst enemy? I’ll pass on this one.
  23. What is your current desktop picture? A picture of some white alders in Holy Jim Canyon. Joel and I share a PC, so it’s the same as his.
  24. What was the last thing you said to someone? Told my husband it was sweet that he said he still had a crush on me.
  25. If you had to choose between a million bucks or to be able to fly what would it be? I think I’d be greedy and take the million bucks. Though flying would not be bad either.
  26. Do you like someone? ? Like, have a crush on someone? Only on the silver screen. And, of course, my husband.
  27. The last song you listened to? The Temptations singing Christmas carols. I try to get in as many Christmas carols as possible between Christmas and Epiphany.
  28. What time of day were you born? I have no idea. I suppose I could dig up my birth certificate and find out, but that’s too much trouble.
  29. What’s your favorite number? I don’t really have a favorite number.
  30. Where did you live in 1987? Same as Joel, Menlo Park, California
  31. Are you jealous of anyone? Not at this time.
  32. Is anyone jealous of you? Possibly.
  33. Where were you when 9/11 happened? At work discovering that the network was unresponsive. When I went to talk to our IT person, he told me about 9/11.
  34. What do you do when vending machines steal your money? I rarely use vending machines.

  36. If you had to get a tattoo, where would it be? Same as Joel, a henna tattoo on my arm.
  37. If you could be fluent in any other language, what would it be? Depends whether I’m supposed to study for fluency or get to wave a magic wand. If I’m supposed to study, I’d pick the language I’m closest to fluent in already, which is German. If I get to wave a magic wand, I’d pick Greek, since it would be easier to talk to some of my relatives that way.
  38. Would you move for the person you loved? As Joel says, it would more likely be him moving for me, but I’d also move for him if we needed to.
  39. Are you touchy feely? Only with Joel, really.
  40. What’s your life motto? I’d like to say it’s “Love thy neighbor as thyself.” I don’t know, though, that my life will bear that claim out.
  41. Name three things that you have on you at all times? Only my wedding ring really qualifies. I often also have my keys and my cell phone, though.
  42. What’s your favorite town/city? I’ll go with Sorrento, Maine.
  43. What was the last thing you paid for with cash? I can’t remember. I give Joel all the cash.
  44. When was the last time you wrote a letter to someone on paper and mailed it? Last month, to my oldest niece.
  45. Can you change the oil on a car? Joel showed me how, on our old Toyota. It’s been years, though, and we now have completely different cars, so I might need a refresher.
  46. Your first love: what is the last thing you heard about him/her? That would depend heavily on who I call my first love. Either way, probably my last information came from vanity searching Google.
  47. How far back do you know about your ancestry? Well, one line has a genealogy that goes back to 1066, when Sir Hugh de Malbisse allegedly came to England with William the Conqueror. I can’t promise, though, that the part of the genealogy that’s in England has been vetted for accuracy.
  48. The last time you dressed fancy, what did you wear and why did you dress fancy? This November, for my grandmother’s hundredth birthday.
  49. Does anything hurt on your body right now? Yes, all the time. Especially, right now, my left arch.
  50. Have you been burned by love? Yes, of course.
