Admixture results from GEDmatch

Today I uploaded my 23andme data to GEDmatch.com, and played with admixture utilities there. There are a lot of them. Below the fold, I’ll give you my results for twelve different admixture analyses (most of these are different versions of Eurogenes, I gather using somewhat different populations). As you can see, my ancestry mix shifts somewhat depending on which populations my genome gets compared to (though I tend to wind up with a mix that’s not too surprising given my known half Northern European and half Mediterranean ancestry). I assume that the occasional very small percentages (less than 1%) of things like Pygmy or American Indian are probably noise. Although, who knows? Maybe I have a Pygmy ancestor way back when.
On another note, GEDmatch doesn’t think my parents were closely related to each other. Since their ancestors came from the opposite ends of Europe from each other, this probably speaks well for GEDmatch’s “Are your parents related” calculator.
