World Water Day round up

Today is several things. It’s the day after the House passed health care reform legislation I had often thought might be doomed, showing that Nancy Pelosi’s a more determined and skillful Speaker than I’d given her credit for. It’s the birthday of one of my brothers. It’s the birthday of my ex who died in a car accident a little over twenty-five years ago. But, most importantly for this particular post, it’s World Water Day. I’ll have a few non-World Water Day links for you, too, that I’d been saving and hadn’t gotten around to blogging, but today the focus is water.

One Difference is a Facebook fan page formed to supply a PlayPump to provide clean water to a village in Africa. Check it out and see how you can help.

Via my sister, here’s a map showing where your water comes from (if you’re in the US), and including some facts about water (worldwide).
